‘The Lost Life of Tilly MacLeod’ Cast Announcement

With the sudden death of her father James, Isla must return to Kilbride, Scotland to prepare her mother, Tilly MacLeod for the funeral. Tilly is a proud Scottish elderly woman who lives in a care home and has been diagnosed with mixed dementia, but upon arrival Isla discovers that Tilly can only speak in French. As Tilly has only ever been known for living in Scotland, no one can explain this phenomenon. However, her daughter Isla is determined to piece together her mother's life and is left questioning whether she ever really knew her mother at all.
