New Poster for ‘Trust Thy Sister’ Psychological Drama Short Film
From rising-star Molly Wise comes her dark psychological period drama short film TRUST THY SISTER, a timely tale about the witch trials, toxic female-relationships and the heartbreak of betrayal.
TRUST THY SISTER follows three women performing in a suspense-filled stage production as their characters strive to survive in a 17th century village which has an insatiable appetite for burning their womenfolk as witches. Accusations fly and blood is spilled both figuratively and literally as betrayal takes place on and off the stage.
The film features an all-female cast with a charming yet calculated Kim Lysette Spearman (AS I AM, THE LAST BREATH) and a fierce debut performance from Gabriella Tavini.
Molly Wise (creator of Brooklyn SciFi Film Festival winner "Venus & Mars") is a bold new Writer/Director hailing from the West Country, whose work is influenced by directors such as Darren Aronofsky, Julia Ducournau, and Kitty Green.
